From Around the World

From around the world:

In Australia they are proposing a new law forbidding people to go within a 100 metres of a dead whales carcuss.
This law is in Australia as there are sharks in Australian waters. The sharks want to feed on the dead whale which would make it very dangerous for someone to be near it

In Singapore bungee jumping is illegal.

Singapore used to have quite a lot of laws like this but they are lifting many of thm nowadays as a bid to encourage tourism in the country.

Raising a pig on Israeli soil will result in the murder of said pig.

In Judaism it is not Kosher to eat the meat of a pig. This law is in place because the main religion of Israel is Judaism and there would be no point in raising these animals as it is the governments opinion that they would do no good for the country. So although it may be irrelevant for people living in other countrys it is what th government thinks is best for this country based on the religion and culture.

The UK

Here are a few strange laws from the UK.

Chelsea Pensioners may not be impersonated.
The reasoning behind this law is that pensioners in Chelsea are entitled to state benefits such as housing at to impersonate one it would be fraud.

London Hackney Carriages (taxis/cabs) must carry a bale of hay and a sack of oats.
This is unchanged for the past 100 years so although it may not be relevant to people nowadays it may have been in very early 20th century London.

Where they come from!

credits for this video go to Sa967St

This is a video showing what laws come from what states.

The states in which the laws originate are very interesting as you have to think about why they did. Also you can see that some states have more stupid laws then others.
